We are seeking a coordinator for the 'Trevligt Hus' (Nice House) concept in Borlänge. The position is located within the Department of Culture and Leisure, which manages libraries, music schools, sports facilities, association services, and youth leaders working on the cultural and leisure activities of Borlänge residents.

As the coordinator for 'Trevligt Hus', you will become part of 'Fritid Ung' (Leisure Youth) and will have support from colleagues who work broadly with civil society on issues concerning the leisure activities of Borlänge residents. The unit has a clear focus on children and youth. 'Trevligt Hus' creates opportunities for residents to participate in free and accessible leisure activities. The purpose is to strengthen children and young people from a holistic perspective by promoting equal conditions for a good life without unfair disparities. The concept should also contribute to a rich cultural and leisure life to promote democracy, health, and quality of life for all.

Borlänge has 'Trevligt Hus' locations at Paradisskolan, Gylle School, and Maserskolan, where school premises are used outside of school hours to create conditions for activities for residents in the area of all ages. The concept is based on idea-driven operations based on citizens' needs and wishes, and the work to develop 'Trevligt Hus' takes place in close dialogue with local residents, civil society, schools, business life, and other stakeholders. Furthermore, 'Trevligt Hus' should be characterized by diversity, the equal value of people, responsibility, and opportunities for influence. Job Responsibilities

As a coordinator, you are the one who works operationally closest to the residents of Borlänge, the schools, the activities, the association life, and other collaboration partners. You plan, organize, support, and provide conditions for activities in collaboration with other parties such as associations, private individuals, or other employees from the municipality. The position is a mix of a coordinating function and direct work in the activities of the operations. As a coordinator, it is important that you are active in planning and organizing activities together with other actors, as well as in your relationship with young people at the school to spark interest and attract participants and actors to 'Trevligt Hus'. The influence of young people is particularly important, and you will involve them in the work of creating activities.

The coordinator leads the work operationally and is also responsible for activities, working closest to the residents of Borlänge, the schools, the activities, the association life, and other collaboration partners. To succeed in the work, it is important that you as a coordinator have the ability to collaborate and have an impartial attitude towards all collaboration partners. You also need to actively work to market the concept and establish or develop collaboration with other actors. It is important that you as a coordinator want to contribute to social sustainability.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education that the employer considers adequate for the position and that you have experience working with children and young people, as well as an ease in creating and maintaining new contacts. You also have experience meeting people with different needs and backgrounds, which is important as you in your work will meet both young people and adults with different backgrounds and from different cultures.

You are communicative in speech and writing and have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

You have broad digital competence and can handle basic programs such as Microsoft Office, but you also have an ease in learning new digital systems to be able to handle and manage administrative tasks such as statistics, follow-ups, presentations, and similar.

You must have a B-driver's license as you in the position need to be able to move between operations and associations.

Personal qualities:

You have good collaboration skills and can handle and solve work tasks together with actors and associations. As a coordinator, you should be able to independently and actively plan, evaluate, and develop activities together with young people.

You are service-oriented and flexible as a person and can together with actors adapt activities according to the target group's demand. Marketing is an important part of the position to reach out with the concept, and as a coordinator, you are responsible for this. You should also be able to adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience from working with association life, either through personal engagement, as a leader, or through board work.
• Experience of similar development work like 'Trevligt Hus' is an advantage. Experience of collaboration with study associations, associations, schools, police, and social services is desirable and facilitates the work.
• Multilingualism is also considered meritorious.
